Before entering Magnolia Creek, Lauren’s life felt burdened and overwhelming. The grip of her eating disorder had taken a toll on her well-being, making it challenging for her to be present in school, relationships, and life in general.

“I was constantly tired, overwhelmed, and closed off to what life offered me,” she noted. Exhaustion and emotional disconnection became her constant companions as she struggled to come to terms with the severity of her disorder.

The Decision to Seek Treatment

Seeking treatment at Magnolia Creek was not an easy decision for Lauren. She grappled with denial, convincing herself that her eating disorder wasn’t “that bad.” However, the concern of her family and friends served as a wake-up call, prompting her to realize that she deserved a better life, free from the clutches of her disorder.

"There came a moment in which I knew deep down that I wasn’t meant to live with this disorder forever, and this was definitely not the life the Lord desires for me to live."
